Preparing an enquiry
The website enquiry forms send the information you enter (your name, email address, organisation, the selected route or topic, any optional details and your message) to OceanBlocks when you choose Send enquiry. The form is delivered by our website hosting service and forwarded to our contact inbox by email. A Cloudflare Turnstile check runs on the form to protect it from automated abuse.
You can also email contact@oceanblocks.ae directly instead of using the form.
Please include only information relevant to the business enquiry. Do not include sensitive personal information, identity documents or confidential technical material. Providing an enquiry is optional. Without a usable contact address, we may be unable to reply.
Information received by OceanBlocks
When you send an email to us, we receive the sender and contact details, the message and any other information you choose to include. We use this information to understand the enquiry, assess whether we can help, respond and keep an appropriate record of the discussion.
We do not add you to a marketing subscription merely because you make an enquiry. Any separate subscription will explain its use of your information and how to withdraw.
Website visits
Our hosting service processes technical requests to deliver and operate the website. Depending on the configured hosting and security services, relevant information can include connection details, the requested page, the request time and browser information. The provider and processing details below describe the services used for this version.
The Cookies and browser storage page explains the technologies used on the website. Opening an email application or following an external link places you within that service’s own privacy arrangements.
Why we use information
We use business-enquiry information on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to relevant enquiries, assessing potential business relationships and maintaining the records needed for those discussions. We use technical website information for our legitimate interests in delivering the website, diagnosing faults and protecting it from misuse.
Where an individual asks us to take steps toward a contract with that individual, processing needed for those steps may instead be based on the contractual basis. Where a legal obligation requires us to retain or disclose information, we process it for that obligation. We consider the nature of the information and the effect on individuals when deciding what processing is necessary.
Who can receive information
Relevant information is handled by authorised people dealing with your enquiry and by the service providers used to host the website and operate email. We limit use to the purposes described here. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
The processing details below identify the applicable provider categories, processing locations and transfer arrangements.
Processing locations and safeguards
This version of the website uses the following service providers:
- Website hosting and enquiry form delivery: Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages, Pages Functions and Turnstile)
- Domain name and website security services: Cloudflare
- Email: Microsoft 365
These providers may process information outside Abu Dhabi Global Market, including in countries where their infrastructure and support operations are located. Where personal information is transferred outside Abu Dhabi Global Market, the transfer is subject to the requirements of the ADGM Data Protection Regulations 2021. You can request information about these providers, the processing locations and the safeguards that apply, including a copy of relevant safeguards where available, by emailing contact@oceanblocks.ae.
How long information is kept
We keep enquiry information while it is needed to respond and follow up, manage any resulting relationship, satisfy applicable record-keeping duties or deal with legal claims. When deciding whether information is still needed, we consider whether the enquiry remains active, whether an engagement resulted and whether a legal or contractual reason requires continued retention. We delete or anonymise information when those purposes no longer require identification.
Technical request information is kept only for the time needed to deliver the service, diagnose faults, maintain security or investigate an identified incident. The configured provider arrangements and any applicable legal duties determine the retention required for those purposes.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where a separate use relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier use.
Email contact@oceanblocks.ae to make a request. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity before releasing or changing personal information. The rights above are subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
You may raise a concern with us and you may complain to the ADGM Commissioner of Data Protection. Information about complaints is available from the ADGM Office of Data Protection.
Updates
We will update this notice if the website’s processing arrangements change. The date above identifies the current version. This version describes the server-submitted enquiry form.
